About the speaker:
Gert Rijlaarsdam is a professor at the University of Amsterdam and the University of Antwerp. Previously, he was professor of language and literature in secondary education for 17 years.
Since 1994, he was first coordinator EARLI-Special Interest Group in Writing (SIG-Writing) and has been involved in various European initiatives for the promotion of research in writing, which include the promotion of the Collection Studies in Writing, which has been editor until last year, creating the Journal of Writing Research, which is also editor and co-ordination from the creation of the International Association for Mother Tongue Association. He is currently associate editor of the journal Learning & Instruction
